Deleting a Widget From Your Site

If you know that you will not be using certain widgets, it is best to remove them from your site to avoid an excess of unused widgets from the Layout's Widget Library.

To Delete a Widget

  1. Go to the Control Panel, click on Appearance and select Layout.
  2. Notice that the Widget Library contains widgets that have a small trash can icon next to them.

  3. Click the trash can icon to permanently delete the widget.Tip: the widget must be in the Widget Gallery (not on the page layout grid) in order to delete it.

  4. After deleting the widgets from the system, save the layout.
