The Filtered Search widget allows you to place a search box on a page and search the content on that specific page. You can use multiple variations of this widget to search within specific areas of your site based on content type (App type content) and/or taxonomy vocabularies.

Dataverse List Widget

The dataverse list widget allows you to display your dataverse information based on your Dataset Persistent Identifier by either the DOI or the HDL. It includes a search bar for ease of use.

The dataverse dataset widget allows you to display (one of) your Dataverse Datasets. When creating this widget, you'll add your "Persistent Identifier" by either the DOI or the HDL - see step 3 below.

Dataverse Widgets

What is a Dataverse?

Dataverse Network is a virtual archive or organizer of research data. It can contain data sets (called studies) that are uploaded specifically to that Dataverse or that belong to other Dataverses. Data sets can be organized by collections and sub-collections. In addition to uploading studies and setting up collections, if you are the Dataverse owner (administrator) you can customize the Dataverse browser page. 

You must have an existing Dataverse account in order to properly utilize this feature.

Deleting a Widget From Your Site

If you know that you will not be using certain widgets, it is best to remove them from your site to avoid an excess of unused widgets from the Layout's Widget Library.

To Delete a Widget

  1. Go to the Control Panel, click on Appearance and select Layout.
  2. Notice that the Widget Library contains widgets that have a small trash can icon next to them.

Site Logo Widget

Your website's Site Logo widget can be edited from any page in your site. The allowed file types for the Site Logo Widget include gif, png, jpeg, and jpg. The image must not be smaller than 180 x 140 or else it will not be able to upload.

Placing the Site Logo Widget onto Your Site

You can access the Site Logo Widget by going into the site Layout. The Site Logo widget will be located in the widget library where you can click and drag it into the layout.

Section Navigation Widget

Understanding Section Navigation Widget

The section navigation widget is a system generated widget that gets automatically created and added to your page when a subpage is created from the page. The pages within the section navigation is a "section".

The section navigation provides a structural & hierarchal view of the section and allows your site visitors to navigate to these subpages.

The section navigation widget is only available when using Basic Pages.
