As of September 14th, 2015 all of the Facebook widgets provided within the OpenScholar Platform have been removed.
Why did this happen?
Facebook has made some changes and no longer supports many of its social plugins such as the Likebox, Activity Feed, Recommendations, and Facepile. Instead, Facebook provides the option of creating your own Like Buttons, Share Buttons, Comments, Embedded Facebook Video, and Feeds. These Facebook embeds can be used in an OpenScholar site in much the same way as embedding a YouTube or Vimeo video. Given this, we are removing all Facebook widgets from OpenScholar.
