Removing a File

Images and files that you've uploaded to any content can be removed.

From the Control Panel:
1. Select Site Content
2. Select Browse 
3. Select Files

In this page you will see all file types you have previously uploaded. This page shows you its:

Adding Alt Text

Alternative Text is a descriptive attribute that you can associate with images. It is meant to serve the same purpose by conveying the same information as the image in situations where the image is not available to the reader, or if the reader is visually impaired and is using a screen reader. Private Files App

Private files are restricted to the Harvard Community or optionally just members of your site. Site visitors from the Harvard community will be asked to login with a valid HUID to access your private files also any member of your site will have access when logged into the site. Private files is the only way to upload a file that is not available to the public, they will stay private independent of site visibility.

Enabling the Private Files App

Before adding any Private Files, you must first make sure the app is enabled.

Managing Files and Images

Images and files that you've uploaded to any content can be managed in Files.

To manage Files:
1. Click to expand Site Content
2. Click to expand Browse and select Files

In this page you will see all the public file types you have previously uploaded onto your site.
